At the turn of the century, a Movie ‘The Matrix,’ came on the scene. It challenged reality and pulled from classical Asian action films with its amazing stunts. Follow the white rabbit and learn some new and surprising facts about this iconic film.
1. Practice, Practice, Practice!
Remember that amazing and intense scene that opened the film? That actually took six months of training before the actors were prepared to shoot, and in the end it only took four days of filming. We think the end result was fantastic though!
2. Ker-plunk!
So…when that lobby shoot-out ends, the camera pans out and shows all of destruction caused by the gunfight. During this panning, a piece of one of the pillars falls off. This in fact, was not staged but totally fell off by chance. They decided to leave it in though, because it was such a great final ending to that scene.
3. Ouch!
Carrie-Anne Moss climbed to fame through playing ‘Trinity’ in the Matrix. While she was shooting one of her scenes, she twisted her ankle but decided to never tell anyone. Carrie-Anne was worried that if she shared her injury, they might recast her role to someone else.
