10. Here’s Johnny!
As told on ‘The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson,’ while filming Back to the Future, Crispin Glover (George McFly) lost his voice, due to nervousness. In fact, for many scenes, he had to silently mouth his lines and folks later dubbed in his voice at a recording studio.
11. Marty, is that on the rocks?
During the ‘parking’ scene (which was really, kind of creepy), where Marty and young Lorraine were in the car together, the production company pranked Michael J. Fox by putting real alcohol into the flask before he drank it. Michael was shocked and the full prank can be found in the ‘outtakes’ section of the DVD. Check it out!
12. Marty McDepp?
Johnny Depp auditioned to be Marty McFly! Oh, how the film would have been different! According to Bob Gale, Johnny read for the part, but didn’t leave a big impression. Glad he stuck to pirating and scissorhanding.
