13. Fancy slippers!
Peter Cushing (who reprised his role later via CG) found that the boots were so incredibly uncomfortable to wear because they were way too small for his feet. To accommodate the actor, he was only forced to wear the boots in a few scenes where Tarkin’s feet could be seen. In all of the other shots that didn’t include his feet, Peter wore a pair of fuzzy slippers. Got to keep the Empire comfy!
14. It’s a family affair!
OK, so follow us. Denis Lawson is a British actor who played Wedge Antilles in Star Wars. Fast forward and his nephew goes on to play Obi-Wan Kenobi in the prequels. Yep, that’s right, Denis is the Uncle of non-other than Ewan McGregor!
15. Let’s keep it clean, Star Wars!
Remember how R2-D2 swears in the original Star Wars. Well, in fact this is the only film in the original trilogy that had profanity featured more than once. The words ‘hell’ and ‘damn’ are used several times, and they were only included because the studio didn’t want Star Wars to earn a ‘G’ rating and stereotyped as a ‘kid’s movie.’
