4. The third time’s the charm!
Toy Story 3 was nominated for the Best Picture Oscar. This was the first time ever that a sequel was nominated without any of the earlier films before. Now, we all can admit that Toy Story 2 wasn’t the greatest, but that’s a huge surprise given Toy Story 1 was so outstanding and revolutionary!
5. We’re in the money!
There have been a lot of animated movies over the years, but no film has ever broken the $1 billion dollar mark…until Toy Story 3! It’s true, this film was such a success and hit this monetary milestone in August of 2010.
6. A nod to Keaton!
Remember when Barbie is rummaging through Ken’s closet? Well, during this session, she comes across a blue and gold letterman’s jacket with a ‘K’ embroidered on the front. This is in honor of the voice actor, Michael Keaton, who portrayed Ken and attended Kent State University, whose colors were blue and gold.
